Ilia True Skin Serum Foundation Review

Hi there everyone! I’ve been looking for a clean foundation that works well on mature skin, so I tried the Ilia True Skin Serum Foundation. This product retails for $54.00, and comes in a one-ounce glass bottle.  The foundation is equal parts skincare and color correction and gives skin a natural look.  In my Ilia True Skin Serum Foundation Review, I tried the color Tavarua, which is a medium light.

Shades

It’s available in 18 shades, ranging from light to deep.

Texture

This foundation had a light, creamy texture that looked dewy and sheer on my skin. It blended in quickly, leaving a soft glow. The product is supposed to be buildable, so I waited a minute and put on another coat. Since this is a natural product, the setting time was a bit increased. Then I applied the face powder.

Results

Wear: The Ilia True Serum Foundation wore reasonably well throughout the day. There were some dark spots on the side of my face that it didn’t completely cover. After five hours it was wearing off around my mouth. Some dry patches were showing through on my cheeks. This product doesn’t claim to be long-wearing.

Appearance:

I don’t use a heavy foundation, so I liked the natural fresh-faced look. It delivers buildable, light-to-medium coverage. This foundation evened out my skin tone, and it gave my skin a soft, well-hydrated look.
